Big Brother

I remember long ago,
When we played in laundry baskets and little red wagons.
I remember watching you and Dad mowing the lawn together
While I stood and blew bubbles on the driveway.
I didn't know much back then,
But I knew that I had a best friend.
I remember when we moved to this little town.
We were both growing up and growing apart.
You had your friends and I had mine,
And we constantly argued all the time.

Brave little soldier,
In this strange little world,
Ready to fight for his country,
Without a word.
Running through barren lands,
Dressed in army green,
Carrying the flag where it can be seen.
Fighting to keep it standing,
Even if it means taking his own life.
The pain of leaving his family,

In God's Eyes
I am I.
I am perfect and beautiful,
In every way that he made me.
I am unique.
Like every little creature,
That he put tiny details in,
To make them their own self.
I am light.
That shines upon people's lives,
So I can spread happiness onto them.
I am love.
That sheds onto the lonely and heartbroken,
Who need to know what love really means,
When no one is there to show them.
I am aggressive.
To push people to strive for what their goals are in life,
And to succeed and be happy.
I am life.
For those who don't have courage to live their own lives with faith and hope.
I am strength.
To help carry the weak and d
